Class Descriptions

The Series is a “Door Slammers” only. Must have operating doors. No Dragsters, Altereds or motorcycles.

Rules and Regulations:

Any mods, any tires, any vehicle weight, or non electronic power adders are permitted. Trans-brakes and 2-3 step Rev-limiters are permitted. Delay boxes, Electronic Throttle-stop, crossover boxes, or any “reaction-time related” electronic aids are strictly prohibited. All cars must pass the tracks NHRA tech inspection and must be legal for times ran. NHRA Approved trans-brake switches only.

 

Tree:

  • Pro .500 tree, courtesy staging will be in effect.

ET Limits:

  • The quickest ET permitted in this class is 8.50.

  • The slowest ET permitted in this class is 13.99. 

Electronics Policies:

The following devices are ILLEGAL:

  • Electronic/Pneumatic/or any remotely Activated Throttle stops.

  • Optical Sensors/Stutter Boxes.

  • Electronic Nitrous Controllers.

  • Any and All “Traction Control Devices”.

  • Delay Boxes/Cross-Over Boxes.

 

The following Devices are Legal:

  • 2&3 step Rev-Limiters.

  • Trans-Brakes.

  • Electric/Hydraulic Pneumatic Clutch Release Devices.

  • Electric/Hydraulic Pneumatic Shifters[Must have stand alone control unit.Cannot be controlled by a delay box or other prohibited device]

  • The grid question is the grid can be used by itself nothing can be added,like the ARC Module.

  • MSD-7 and/or any other Ignition Box that contains Programmable Timing Functions.

Race staff will be conducting random checks throughout the race.

Tech

DRIVER:
The driver when in the vehicle, from the ready line until the vehicle is safely stopped on the return road, is required to have all safety restraint systems (including the helmet) on and be securely fastened in the vehicle at all times.

It is ultimately the competitor’s responsibility to familiarize themselves with the class requirements as well as all NHRA safety requirements. The competitor agrees they bear the ultimate responsibility when it comes to safety and how it complies with the NHRA rule books. The competitor also agrees that no one else other than the competitor is in the best position to know about how their particular race car has been constructed and how to safely operate it.

 

CREDENTIALS:
A Valid state or government issued driver’s license beyond a learner/s permit level mandatory for cars running 10.00 or slower.
A Valid NHRA competition license is mandatory for cars running 9.99 or quicker, at an NHRA Member Track. NHRA/IHRA competition license mandatory at an IHRA Member Track.

Points System

POINTS WILL AWARDED AT EACH EVENT AS FOLLOWS:

  • 20 POINTS FOR ENTERING AND SUCCESSFULLY PASSING TECH

  • 20 POINTS FOR EACH ROUND ENTERED(except buy backs, 1st round only)

  • 25 POINTS FOR WINNING EVENT

  • 11 BONUS POINTS FOR ATTENDING 3 OF 6 EVENTS

  • 22 BONUS POINTS FOR ATTENDING 4 OF 6 EVENTS

  • 73 BONUS POINTS FOR ATTENDING 5 OF 6 EVENTS

  • 100 BONUS POINTS FOR ATTENDING 6 OF 6 EVENTS

 

BONUS POINTS WILL BE ADDED AT END OF SEASON.

A racer can only claim points in one class, i.e. the first time a racer decides to race in two classes the must

state which class they would like to receive points in on the registration form prior to the start of race.
